In the fall of 2004, a Community Board recognized the need for better access to health care for the community--there were not enough doctors.  An "interim"clinic funded entirely through municipal and community donations was opened.  With part time assistance from local and locum physicians, 2300 patient visits were provided for patients without a family physician. 

In 2005 the Ministry of Health approved the transition of our Community Clinic to the North Hastings Family Health Team.

As a (community) Family Health Team we remain dedicated to our Mission Statement:

             The residents of North Hastings will have access to exceptional Primary Healthcare Services.

With a state of the art facility, the newly renovated clinic provides services to all the community through our Primary Care Providers, and visiting Specialists.

Located adjacent  to the Quinte Healthcare Corporation (North Hastings Hospital) with a 24 hour emergency room, we are located in the Professional Services Building with the Dialysis Clinic, Public Health Unit, Community Care Access Centre and other community focused agencies.  The clinic remains central and accessible to the residents of all seven municipalities which actively support us.
